Rich McIver focuses his practice exclusively on medical malpractice and nursing home abuse litigation on behalf of McIver Brown. In addition to representing clients, Rich serves as the firm’s business director.
In his spare time, Rich McIver is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, where he teaches a course on medical malpractice litigation.
Experience: Rich has successfully represented clients in matters involving medical malpractice, hospital malpractice, surgical malpractice, nursing home abuse, nursing home neglect, birth injuries, and failure to diagnose among others. Driven by a passion to maximize his client’s financial return, and ensure that the malpractice which lead to their harm does not occur in the future, Rich has been successful in ensuring the procedures and policies in numerous healthcare facilities are improved through litigation on his client’s behalf.
Personal: A Houston native, Rich and his wife Holly call southwest Houston, Texas home. They spend their free time in Houston and Galveston, Texas. Rich and Holly are Ambassadors on behalf of Texas Children’s Hospital and are active in supporting the charities listed here.
License & Education: Rich McIver received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he was distinguished with highest honors. He received his juris doctorate degree with high honors from the University of Chicago, a nationally ranked, top-five law school. Rich McIver is licensed by the State Bar of Texas.
